sore back???

Hello,
I have a palomino quarter horse mare that has had somewhere around nine foals and is carring another. She isn't that far along in her gestation. She won't foal untill january/febuary next year. She has always been a bit girthy but I was told some broodmares are like that. I also read an artical about horses backs and it said that a sign of a sore back could be girthyness. Is this true???

I've always found it to be true. My horse has a sore back frequently and I have always known it was hurting her by the way she acts when I saddle her up. If she acts like that I Don't ride her. Any sign of discomfort is there for a reason, just listen you your horse!!
