Hello,
I have heard about adopting these foals that will be killed otherwise since they are used to make medicine only. What is going on with these foals. Are they being rescued? Please let me hear from you if you know any details.
Thank You,
Edward

pmu foals are adopted out in some cases. There are several web sites in which they can be found. There is a fee to adopt them, around $600.00, you can fill out a form for adoption, once approved you get to choose which foal you like, but once you choose you are locked into that foal. So if one comes in you like better you can't switch. They bring these foals to several depots across the US and you meet up there with your own transport to bring the foal to your facility. These foals are not handled so they are very tough to deal with, not halter trained or anything and can be injured in transport. They also need to be quarantined for awhile from other horses. Thats all I know about them. I think it would be a hard way to start a relationship.
