Can anyone help me? I want to know what exactly laminitis is. :confused:

Laminitis is also called founder is an acute painful inflammation of the foot, its mainly in the front hooves but it can occur in the hind hooves.
If all 4 hooves are effected then the horse will lie down extended periods of time and may refuse to get up.
