Hock Swelling

We have been noticing that our horse's hind hocks become swollen after placing her in the stall when we finish riding. She has been mostly pastured in between riding during the summer. But on occasion we bring her in due to bad weather.

Of course we cool her down after exercising and rinse her with cold water before stalling her.

I have the same thing with my mare, When they stand in there stalls for a little while their legs will swell, its called stocking up, it will not hurt them. just walk them alittle. It help take down the swelling. We get the same thing if we stand too long too.
