Well firstly the way into any field is to get experience in the field, try and help out at local stables, learn how to look after horses, take mistakes in your stride and if this s what you really want to do keep working at it!
Something like dog training may also be helpful to give you an idea of how training works, you can read horse and dog training books, and animal behaviour/physcology books to help you understand why horses do things and what they will do, this will give you better insight on how to train them. Experience id the best thing you can have, if you have a dog or a horse study its behaviour, make notes, think why it might do that, think back to survival techniques from their ancestors and think about understanding that and how to train them out of them or help with them. Did I mention experience? You need it, loads of it, you can never have enough, you NEVER stop learning, dog training, stables even farms heck, experience with large animals, traning, understanding behaviour etc then try and find a course you can take which will support this. Hi!! glad SOMEONE wants to be a trainer too!!! well i'm kinda aiming towards that myself sooooo, try to work with as many horses you can!!! ok so when a chance comes along take advantage of it! do you have a horse? if you do ride, ride, ride! oh and don't forget glorious groundwork! its not fun but its important!!! try to go to clinics, such as Equine Affaire!! whew love that!!! and pretty much anyother one you can find! and even if someone does a different disipline than you.. you can still learn from them. try to get a mentor, someone you like how they train and stick with them! follow them around, clean up stalls in excange for riding lessons....really there is alot you can do! there are TONS of books and videos that can teach you alot but you have to practice on a horse. well hope this helps and good luck!!!
