Has anyone ever experienced their horse presenting with coughing, then noticing nasal drainage that includes feed then sipping water and it coming back out through their nose?
I've never encountered such until I bought my new horse. The vet and equine dentist do not seem to be listening to me. The vet is treating her for a "viral respiratory" illness. I know that some how, somewhere that mare has to have a hole going into her sinuses that the feed and water is getting into and draining back out through her nose. It is also causing irritation to the lungs to cause the coughing. Has anyone ever encountered such a monster and if so, what was done for it and was it expensive?
Thanks.
