Ticks

I'm moving from Steamboat Springs, Co. to Joplin, Mo. We don't have a tick problem here. So I was wandering if I should worry about my horse getting ticks once I move to Mo. If so, does anyone have any tips on controling them or a easy way of keeping them off my horse besides spraying him everyday.

Yes hon tons of ticks especially in that area of MO. I am in West Central MO
Just a general check daily, fly/tick spray but some will escape ya just have to really check as throughly as possible.
