The Vet said she has a liver problem that is causing over all muscle fatigue. He suggested putting her on this special powder feed that was developed at the University of Illinois. It is suppose to help liver function. Have you ever dealt with liver problems? What is your suggestion on how to handle this? In the last 2 weeks her eyes have become “less bright” and she is losing more weight than I want. She was really fat when we started working her 2 months ago. Now she is thin with a pot belly. Her hair is no longer shiny.

It is possible that an internal problem, like liver disease, can manifest in certain and sometimes unusual ways. Liver disease can cause all the physical changes you describe. I am unfamiliar with the powder you described (but would love any information you can forward to me), however if your veterinarian recommends it, you should do it. Especially if nothing else is seeming to help her, you likely don’t have anything to lose.
