For Dr Jack
Thank you very much Dr. And we fully intend to pursue shockwave on this particular horse
Thank you so much for your quick response. Hillary.
Thanks so much for the reply. We had our vet out and did a complete exam. It seems as though she has developed some weakened veins through the years due to having so many foals. She has also developed a fondness of white clover that can actually act as a blood thinner. She is taking vitamin K that seems to aid in this problem. So far so good, she's such a sweet mare and should be having a better retirement! I was curious if it had to do with the fact that the majority of her conceptions have been through AI. Anyway, so nice to have you all as a resource! Your web site has been more than educational! Thank you so much again for your concerns, Stephanie.
Dear Dr. Sales, I just wanted to thank you for the excellent advice you sent me concerning my horse's locking up in the stifle joint. You answered my question very thoroughly and very clearly. Everything you said makes perfect sense, and hopefully with more riding those muscles will strengthen up and her problem will be solved. I also appreciate you getting that information to me so quickly! Thanks for putting my mind at ease! Robbi.
I'm not asking a question today. I just want to say thank you for your answer for my question the other day. Love, your number 1 fan, Emily.

I really appreciate what you said. That is a wonderful idea. I will do that. Thanks a lot. Brittany
Thanks, Herb. Of the three questions I submitted you were the only one to respond with specific information for me! I appreciate it a lot!
Thanks so much for your prompt response. UT vets x-rayed her stifles before her Oct ligament split surgery and felt there was no arthritis in the stifles yet. They looked really good. They ultrasounded her during the desmotomy surgery in Dec- joints still looked good and her ligaments had indeed responded to the new ligament split surgery- but not enough to solve her problem.
Her case was very resistant to less invasive solutions over time (we waited over a year), increased exercise and conditioning. - We all hated to do the desmotomy, it is such a final act, but there were no other choices. She was dangerous and unrideable from her constantly locking stifles. I also feel certain she was in pain. I will continue to keep her quiet and keep my fingers crossed. Thanks so much. Lynn Faust

Thank you very much that helped a lot if I ever need help I will be sure to check with you first. I really thank you for taking the time to look up all that work into it. Lexi aka Hailey
Hello Heather, You're right, we didnt check him out in any arena. We went by the previous owners word, big no-no, but, I'm learning... lol I felt so bad for this poor guy. He was so neglected, and when we finally got the papers for him, it showed he had been sold many times to many people. I felt terrible also because of the conditions where he was. I went mostly on emotions. Now, we need to decide what to do with him. I want to make sure if he is sold, he goes to a good home with people that are very patient with his quirks. I just cant afford to keep him if he isnt ridden. His personality is so sweet. Its a shame. Thank you for your info. I will see what happens now. Laury.
