For Dr Schurg (June 2005)
Thank you so much for taking the time to answer my questions. I appreciate this very much. The horse and I have become kindred spirits and I want to make sure he will be healthy.
Once again thank you.

Thank you very much for writing back. I had the Vet out and it was his tendon he said give it a rest for two weeks and he should be fine. So I have another farrier coming the end of the month to change his shoes and put the ones he was used to back on. Thanks again. Carol

Just to let you know; I got hold of the second best vet here in Geneva as mine was away for a week. He informed me of an infection in the hoof...
There had never been any fever! So my horse had the hoof wrapped for 8 days, and then we are back to normal. Many thanks again for your kind help.

Thank you! That helps. He does look sound, maybe a little short on it, but it's hard to tell if that is from lingering pain, or because he doesn't have his shoe on. If he isn't completely sound by the time he is done with his Sulfa, I will have the vet back out. He's a great vet, but his practice partner recently moved, and he is trying to do the work of two vets, which means it is hard to get questions answered lately.
So thanks again!
