For Dr Sales (November 2007)
Thanks for the reply, did get him in and saw Dr. Reese a equine dermatologist. She did a complete shot series and came up that it was the fungus that grows on the bottom side of grass. Should be able to handle it with injections. That place was fascinating.
Thanks

Thanks Herb. I already havea new farrier. He put front shoes on him last night. He pulled back some when he was putting the left front on, which is not like him, but he said it could just be sore. He is walking much better with just a soreness in front left.
Thank You So Much, Becky

Thanks for your time and thoughts. If it does not get better we will try a supplement. Jason

Thanks. We have done that for about three nmonths. We are now wondering if the pad has caused the sole to remain soft and not dry out? Still a little sore. We are going to pull the shoes and pad and check him out this week. Thanks again for your thoughts. Jason

Thanks for the response...Hannah does not eat the manure,She just likes to poop in the dish. I have hanging feeders in the barn and outside on the fence line. But, I also tried feed dishes on the ground. One inside a tire and one on the ground ...same thing LOL...Maybe she is marking her territory.... If she is finished with her grain and another horse is not, she will go over and poop in their dish or pee in it. She was kept out in a pasture with about 10 other horses before I got her and they were group fed in one bin, so the previous owner does not know if she was doing this before. Just a nasty habit and I thought that maybe it was a common problem...Thanks again

Thank you, Ed. When I write for AcresUSA, they don't give me a specific issue date, but rather put the articles in when the fit seems right (my other editors issue assignments based on specific dates). So, I won't know the date of publication until it's actually in print, but when it is published, it will be on the Acres site listed below. The article is getting quite long, and it looks like it might be written as a "Part I" and "Part II."
Thanks for what you're doing for horses.

Love your site! Used to ride a lot when young, now have a horse again and have forgotten a lot. Do mostly trail rides, but have an area of land on which I would like to build a ring. What is a good size for an exercise ring? I would eventually like to do both western things like pole bending and english things like small jumps. Thank you so very, very much! Ruth
