For Dr Sales (October 2007)
Thank you so much about this answer. It is interesting because my vet called me back this week to tell me that now she thought, after having consulted other vets, that I should resume normal work. She now thinks that this mare may always have had an enlarged tendon; but she got lame because of an inflamed annular ligament (which gives the leg a small bump in the back). She feels that doing surgery on a perfectly sound horse is not something we should do. It sounds like you do not agree with her? Thanks again for time.

Thanks for your response a few weeks ago about the gelding with a sore on his withers (fistulous withers or a nasty saddle sore?)

Dr. Sales, (September 2007)
Thank you so much for responding to my email. I contacted another very well known Vet in my area & they also confirmed what you just advised. Thank you again for your assistance. Sharon

For Dr Sales (September 2007) Thank you so much! For some reason, I didn't think I would get a response. Your time is greatly appreciated and very informative. Two days after I wrote you, for what it's worth; I started him on Frank Lampley's Vitamix just to see if I can't pump up his immune system and if by some miracle, I can eliminate the cough. I'll have the trach wash done this week and see what the results show and how he is responding to the Vitamix after a week. Thanks again. You're a great person for taking the time to write. Cathy
