Grand Island Independent | Fonner on lockdown due to possible equine herpesvirus Grand Island Independent Fonner Park is currently on lockdown due to a possible case of the equine herpesvirus. A horse in the David Anderson barn died Sunday after exhibiting possible symptoms of the virus. Two other horses were also in question but have since improved. |
