Riding in National Forests

Warning from Coconino Horsemen’s Alliance President Sally Stults:

Hi Everyone… after coming face to face with a hunter with his bow drawn on a recent ride on the National Forest, just wanted to give you trail riders a heads up to think about wearing bright colored clothing during the hunting season.  Take care and have fun.

And , maybe the Horse too!!

Quick and easy prep for riding during the (fall) hunting season: orange fleece picked up at your local fabric store can be placed over your saddle pad; before saddling, allowing for it to be slightly larger than the pad for greater visibility. Smaller pieces can be cut in strips and tied on other pieces of tack as well.
