Hi Alex,

This problem of the penis twisting up in the sheath is possible and can usually be corrected manually, by going up in there with your hand and un-twisting it. It you are unable to do this, you might suspect some form of growth up in the sheath that has restricted the opening or caused adhesions to the penis, usually caused in the older horse by tumor growths. You would best have a Vet come out so he could use a tranquilizer and examine the problem closely. I hope this helps and good luck. Dr. Sales
